When a man, played by Raúl Castillo, has his life destroyed by a crypto grifter, played by Josh Brener, he seeks to get revenge. The tables are turned however, when the home invasion plan turns into a sadistic game.

When head diver, played by Woody Harrelson, announces the next dive will be his last, his crew, including Simu Liu, is saddened, but they have no time to grieve as a storm traps a crewmate hundreds of feet below the ocean’s surface.

This movie reminds me of Men of Honor, but removing the military aspect. It’s more modern, but the stress and pressure of the story continues to be captivating and intense.

My Dead Friend Zoe – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 100%

When U.S. Army veteran Merit, played by Sonequa Martin-Green, is constantly being haunted by her dead army friend Zoe, played by Natalie Morales, it puts her home life in jeopardy. However, in spite of the work of her family and counselors she can’t shake off the persistent memory. However, when her grandfather, played by Ed Harris, needs help, the relationship helps her learn how to process grief.

This is another film from Legion M, and is currently getting rave reviews. However, it’s a dark comedy and drama, so if it’s too heavy for you or your loved ones, then this film might be a bit rough. However, if you can pass the dark notion of the film, it’s a powerful journey.

Toni, played by Luise Grossmann, wants to be a champion in the field of female boxing, but is having a hard journey. She seeks out ex-boxing champion Elliott, played by Ving Rhames to train her.
