Every year at San Diego Comic-Con we put together our list of favorite panels that we highly recommend from the event. While we will have second list, specifically with a wider target to hit, this list is dedicated to our favorite comic book themed panels, as it is “Comic-Con!”

From the spark of an idea to the final page turn, creating a graphic novel is a true collaboration between words and art. This group of writers and artists peel back the curtain on their creative process—sharing how scripts are shaped, visuals come to life, and storytelling evolves every step of the way. Panelists are Sarah Phoebe Miller (You Belong Here), Anna Meyer (Saint Catherine), Jordan Morris (Youth Group), Gene Luen Yang (Lunar New Year Love Story), and Mairghread Scott (The City on the Other Side). The recent surge in censorship has once again made comics and creators the subject of court cases, public tribunals, and threats of arrest. In this panel, the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund’s Jeff Trexler, CBLDF board members, and others will discuss the latest developments and what to expect as we move closer to a landmark Supreme Court ruling on book challenges.
