The Baltimorons – Releasing in Limited Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 100%
When a newly sober comedian, played by Michael Strassner, ends up with a cracked tooth in the ER on Christmas Eve in the care of Didi, played by Liz Larsen, their rough edge meeting turns from chaffing to misadventures over the course of routine check-ups as they help each other overcome their issues, fears, and form a connection.
If you are looking for a light comedy this week, this will be a nice change of pace from what has been in theaters of late.
The Conjuring: Last Rites – Releasing in Theaters

Lorraine and Ed, played by Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, return to the franchise dedicated to The Conjuring. In this film, they deal with an evil entity that was originally their first mission together. What they couldn’t deal with, all that long ago, has returned and now will become their most dangerous and deadliest case, as well as their last.
The Conjuring series has been a very strong contender in the horror and horror franchise genre for most fans to enjoy. It’s sad to say that this might be the last film in the series, but the actors of course can’t keep making the same films over and over again. From the looks of it, this definitely does hit a lot of the same notes and would be a great watch for anyone who is a fan of the series or wants to jump into it.

The Threesome – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 84%
Connor, played by Jonah Hauer-King, Has been trying to get the interest of Olivia, played by Zoey Deutch, for quite some time. However, it doesn’t seem to work out until he flirts with another woman, played by Ruby Cruz. After a threesome that very night with both of those women, the unthinkable happens. Both get pregnant. Now Connor has to deal with making the right choice regarding both women and both his children.
Definitely a funny, with light notes of drama, film. The energy of the film seems to be very mocking of the situation, while at the same time trying to find hope through the exchanges as they try to make their way through all of it.
Twinless – Releasing in Limited Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 96%
After Roman, played by Dylan O’Brien, loses his brother, Roman turns to a help group specifically for other people who have lost their twins. In doing so he meets Dennis, played by James Sweeney, who suffered a similar fate. In the connection between the two of them, they find something similar to what they lost but nothing is as simple, and that hole can’t just be so easily filled.
The concept of twins seeking help from other twins specifically to deal with the loss that only they would known and understand is a very sad but fair concept. The idea that their relationship would develop into something that this film showcases is interesting, but also toxic. It’s just weird enough to draw you in.
