Star-Studded Performance by Grammy-Award Winning Sheryl Crow and Glimmering Drone Show Mark the Milestone Celebration

Star Princess, the newest and most impresive and innovated ship from Princess Cruises was just christened at the Port Everglades, just recently, along side other new ships.

The ceremonial maritime tradition that has gone on for centuries were completed with the help of Camila and Matthew McConaughey, and the ship was christened with a celebratory bottle of Pantalones Organic Tequila, owned by the two. The organic tequila brand, Pantalones, is also a featured spirit across the Princess fleet.

Hosted by travel and lifestyle TV personality Dawn McCoy, and in attendance, at the Princess Arena within the ship, Princess Cruise Line’s President Gus Antorcha was joined by the ships Captain Gennaro Arma. During the christening Sheryl Crow performed for the event along with a drone show that filled the nights sky creating a tribute to the ships next itinerary within the Great Land of Alaska.

The brand new 177,800-ton Star Princess will be able to accommodate 4,300 guests. The ship also boasts 30 inviting restaurants, a two-story Lotus Spa, and the SkyDeck, with new pickleball and basketball courts.

Shows aboard the ship include:

Spellbound by Magic Castle – featuring magic and illusionist Richard Valentine Pitchford.

Meridian & Illuminate – Meridian is a show set within the fictional ship Celestial, sailing through the age of elegance. Illuminate is a show revolving around a circus full of reverie and wonder.

The Dome – A candlelight concert series set within a glass-enclosed dome under the stars at sea.

The Star Princess will begin her destinations with a Caribbean season on November 7, 2025. After Spring in 2026, the ship will sail through the Panama Canal and onto Seattle where it will debut a season of 7-day Alaska cruises in the summer of 2026.
