When Joe Shepherd, played by Sterling Street, returns home to find his fiance pregnant, out of no where, they must deal with gossip and doubt, as an angelic dream tells them that they cary humanity’s savior. Now as they head out of town, a storm strands them, and they must seek shelter on the eve of the baby’s birth.

An interesting retelling of the birth of Jesus in modern times. It definitely is an interesting take, and it might come off as a bit preachy, but if you are looking to get into the Nativity, this will do it.

Dust Bunny – Releasing in Limited Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 89%

Aurora’s neighbor, played by Mads Mikkelsen, is a hitman for hire. He kills real-human monsters. So when this child thinks her family was killed and eaten by a monster, she turns to him for his help. To protect her, and partly because he feels guilty, he takes on her job.

I love Mads in roles like this. He is so great as playing dark, monsters that can be redeemed. Additionally, this gives me real Leon The Professional vibes, and I’d love to see this rendition of that story.

Ella McCay – Releasing in Theaters
