On May 1, 2026 the Star Princess arrived in the Port of Seattle and received it’s traditional maritime plaque which was exchanged between the Port of Seattle’s representatives from local maritime, port operations, labor and public safety partners along with Star Princess’s senior officers, including Captain Gennaro Arma and Princess Cruises’ President Gus Antorcha. After the presentation, the ceremony was closed out by an Alaska‑themed drone show at the Seattle Center!
Additionally, as part of the inaugural celebrations, Princess Cruises confirmed and continued it’s commitment to Alaska communities within the region. These contributions included a $100,000 contribution to the Joseph T. Craig American Legion Post 3 in Ketchikan, a $25,000 donation to Juneau Flukes, a $25,000 donation to Skagway Childcare Council, and A $10,000 donation to Sitka Trail Works.
