On Thursday, October 8, 2026 during New York Comic Con, Marvel’s Spider-Man in connection with teaming up with Jazwares to attempt to create a Guinness World Record event!
The attempt? The largest gathering of people dressed as Spider-Man!
The event will take place at the Javits Center, at 8:00 P.M. EST at the New York Comic Con’s Main Stage. The goal will be to break the current record, which is only 685 people. An official Guinness World Records adjudicator will be on-site to verify the results!
To be able to participate you will of course need to pick up a New York Comic Con badge for Thursday, or have a 4-Day badge, and have a Spider-Man costume. The fit will have to be a complete classic Spider-Man look: The signature red mask, boots, and red-and-blue suit with web detailing and spider emblem. Alternate suits from officially recognized comics or films are also welcome but other characters from the Spider-Man universe will not be counted toward the record.
However, if you don’t have a costume, Jazwares will be providing complimentary Spider-Man costumes in ranges of Adults and Kid’s sizes. The amount is clearly limited to one per person.
