Six Flags Magic Mountain Announces Thrill Glider

Adding to their line-up of amazing coasters like Twisted Colossus, Tatsu, Goliath, and Full Throttle, Six Flags Magic Mountain is releasing a brand new rollercoaster in 2027 called Thrill Glider!

Thrill Glider is a rollercoaster which attempts to create a flying motorbike experience with their ride. The queue will take riders through a demonstration of the fictional world of QuantumPluse Propulsion Systems as you see exhibits and presentations of the companies new energy soruce and how it allows them to power the rides high-speed hovercycles.

The actual ride will feature a flying-bike vehicle that places riders into a prone face-forward position in a vehicle that is suspended beneath the track. The track for the ride will have 20 unique track elements, and will host an 80 second experience that will take riders up to 50 mph and will create 12 airtime moments, five unique inversions, and traverse nearly 3.5 acres.

The Thrill Glider will also set a collection of records, including:

  • World’s First Thrillglider.
  • World’s First Multi-Launch Thrillglider.
  • World’s Longest Thrillglider – 3,380 feet.
  • World’s Fastest Thrillglider – 50 mph.
  • World’s Tallest Thrillglider – 107 feet.
  • Most Inversions on a Thrillglider – 5.
  • The new ride will be located on the former site of the Golden Bear Theatre between Full Throttle and LEX LUTHOR: Drop of Doom.
