First Look At Marvel Rivals 10.5 Update

Welcome back to another Marvel Rivals review with Nerd News Social. Not the biggest update this time, but there are some interesting events that are going to be going on this season and some are pretty chaotic from what I’ve experienced.

I think the biggest update is the new Doomsday: Infinity War mode where it is 2V2 PvP with a total of teams so 12 people per match. In this mode you start out going against another 2v2 team and the winner gets to move on to the next round, but the negative side is the loser loses a little bit of overall health. If you keep losing throughout the matches you will eventually hit 0HP and you are out. At the beginning of the match you are given a random Infinity Stone and if you do hit 0HP, whatever team eliminated you will gain your Infinity Stone. I have been in a match were the final two teams have as much as 5 Infinity stones or as low as 2 Infinity Stones depending on how the matches go. You also get to choose upgrades to abilities, health, attributes, etc between each round. Basically by the time you get to the last round if you make it that far you’re pretty much invincible if playing in a normal match. Definitely check out the mode and I would advise to play with a friend because it can get pretty crazy and if your rando drops out it is pretty much all downhill from there.

Piggybacking off Doomsday: Infinity war, They are coming out with a new game mode as well called Doomsday: End Game. This however is not PvP, it actually is PVE with 50 players against Thanos. By the time you read this article the mode should be out so go ahead and enjoy Infinity War and End game in Marvel Rivals. During these two game mode’s, Time Square will also host a series of interactive activities, so jump into New York Times Square and enjoy.

A few updates as well are the expansion of the 18vs18 Annihilation Mode, and adding the new map Alchemax Headquarters. Also the store is getting an upgrade and no surprise for some Halloween costumes and cosmetics which should be out by the time you read this during the All Hollows Glow events. Also starting October 29th there will be a event called Night of Illusions, which is an interactive puzzle experience. That’s all they have told us so far so I’m excited to see what comes from that.

Alright Nerd News Social! That’s it for this mid-season update. Make sure you check out all the Halloween fun and new game-mode chaos. We are excited to see what the next chapter holds and if the past Doomsday continues or concludes this season. This is Clideen from Nerd New Social. We’ll catch you next time!
