Eleanor, played by June Squibb, loses her best friend of seventy years. With the heartbreak so fresh, she decides to move to New York to get a fresh start, but being ninety years old disconnects her from the general crowd. However, she finds unique kinship with a a 19-year-old student.

The mixture of a generation difference story added to the world of a fish out of water. If you want a sweet and cute story of finding a new friend in a dark time in your life, then this will be a great film to watch this week.


Gabby’s Dollhouse – Releasing in Theaters

Gabby, played by Laila Lockhart Kraner, is heading out on a road trip with her grandma, played by Gloria Estefan, to “Cat Francisco.” However, a slight misunderstanding caused Gabby’s dollhouse to find it’s way to a garage sale, and a wealthy cat lady, played by Kristen Wiig, snatches it up. Gabby and her cats sets off to reaquire the dollhouse before it’s too late.

If you have a young child, then you likely have to watch this film. It doesn’t look that awesome, but hopefully Kristen Wiig will be able to deliver some comedy to keep the parents happy.

Marcus, played by Blaine Maye, is a young man who seeks vengeance for a darkness in his past, but he is currently caught up in a world of manipulation as his mentor, played by Dermot Mulroney, opporates in a world of saloons and shadows.

If you are looking for a modernized western film, with notes of love and revenge, then this film will hold your attention.


One Battle After Another – Releasing in Theaters

A revolutionist, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, was at one time a member of a revolutionary group, but when his daughter goes missing, he must turn back to his revolutionaries contacts to be able to try to track her down.

There are so many impressive actors in this film. If you are looking for a thriller and drama, then this could be a good watch for you.


The Strangers: Chapter 2 – Releasing in Theaters

When the Strangers learn that Maya, played by Madelaine Petsch, they realize that they have to return and finish the job. Now no matter where Maya runs to, or who she turns to, nothing will stand in the way of the Strangers.

If you want to jump back into the world of The Strangers, then this is the best way to do so, and also enjoy the lore of a pre-existing horror franchise.
