Movies and Videos On Demand For The Week Of December 9, 2022

Christmas Bloody Christmas – Releasing in Theaters and Streaming
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

As Christmas falls upon a small snowy town what comes with is horror as a recalled animatronic Santa Claus begins reeking havok and murdering anyone who gets in it’s way. Now a record store owner, played by Riley Dandy, is the only one who can stop the monster.

Part Terminator, Part Gremlins, Part Chucky, this movie takes robots and Christmas to a whole new level. It’s definitely not an amazing film, but if you want to get lost in some graphic violence and off the wall madness, then this film will fit the bill. It’s not Violent Night, but it will feel a lot more campy then that film.

Empire Of Light – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 43%

During the 1980s, an older woman, played by Olivia Colman, is going through a hard time, and connects with a younger black man, played by Micheal Ward, while working in a theater in an English coastal town.

This movie looks raw, passionate, heart wrenching while also artistically beautiful. If you are are looking for a powerful drama film this week then this will definitely hit the mark.

The Mean One – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

After Cindy, played by Krystle Martin, has her Christmas stolen and her mother murdered, she searches for revenge. Years later she returns to Newville to find and kill The Mean One, played by David Howard Thornton.

Who doesn’t want to see an evil version of The Grinch. Everyone lost thier shit over the murderous Winnie The Pooh, so why not this one. It looks very interesting to say the least. I love the induction of horror in Christmas. Also seeing David Howard Thornton as anything besides Art the Clown is nice, even if it’s almost identical…

The Whale – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 72%

Charlie, played by Brendan Fraser, is an English teacher who suffers from severe obesity. When he attempts to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter, played by Sadie Sink, he is given one last chance for redemption.

This film has received a ton of attention and people are in love with Brendan Fraser’s performance. Brendan Fraser however raves over the performance of Sadie Sink in her role. The movie is heartwarming and well worth the watch!

To The End – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 91%

A documentary set over four years as leaders struggle to fight against climate change. The film follows Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, activist Varshini Prakash, climate policy writer Rhiana Gunn-Wright, and political strategist Alexandra Rojas.

This movie will clearly piss of a lot of people who hate the political movements or for some reason want there to be worse climant situations on the globe. However it’s an important topic to focus on.
