The Lost Daughter – Releasing in Theaters and Streaming
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 93%

When visiting the beach, Leda, played by Olivia Colman, becomes obsessed with a young mother, her daughter, and her family. She spends her vacation confusing the modern-day with her past, and the choices that she made while she was a young mother.

This is a heavy psychological drama that is going to be pretty rough. That being said the reviews of the story are mainly positive. So if you are willing to commit to a heavy story, then this will be a good fit for the week!

Nightmare Alley – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 85%

Stanton Carlisle, played by Bradley Cooper, finds himself connecting to Zeena, played by Toni Collette, and her husband, played by David Strathairn. However, when Carlisle takes his conman skills and merges them with the pair’s mentalist and clairvoyant act, their traveling carnival robs the wealthy elite of high society in New York.

If you were a fan of conman and grifter stories then this will be a great movie for you. With the amazingly talented Cate Blanchett, the film looks to be genuinely interesting.

The Novice – Releasing in Theaters and Streaming
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 93%

Alex Dall, played by Isabelle Fuhrman, is a queer college freshman who decides to try to join her university’s rowing team. To achieve this goal though she’ll have to undertake a physical and psychological journey unlike any other she has had to undergo before. While navigating the harsh and cutthroat world of this sport, is there time for romance let alone love?

Another heavy story with high drama, but a solid story. This is being heralded as a great and powerful lens into the world of college sports, while also granting more LGBTQ viewpoints in the world. A lot of reviews are coming out positive for the film as well.

Spider-Man: No Way Home – Releasing in Theaters

Spider-Man had his world turned upside down in “Far From Home” and now the fallout has not only splashed upon him but also his friends and family. Feeling lost, he looks to the Bleeker Street Magician to help him out. However, when Peter, played by Tom Holland, starts to make unreasonable requests the spell fails, and the walls between the multiverse wear thin. Now the greatest villains of Spider-Man around the multiverse are finding themselves in Peter’s world.

What are we kidding? If you haven’t already seen this one, then you definitely want to see it. I know it’s only available to be seen in theaters, so you have to choose whether it’s worth the heightened risk for this awesome film.
