When it comes to shooting in low light, it’s important to have the right tools for your camera.
A lens with a low f-stop is going to have a higher aperture that will allow more light into the image sensor of the camera. This additional light can make the difference with an unviewable scene in a darkly lit scene.
With that in mind, we checked out the Meike 25mm f0.95 Manual Focus Camera Lens.
We specifically check out this lens with regards to our Sony a6600 camera. One of the major drawbacks of picking up a body with a lens, is the basic manufacturing lenses are for general photography. Picking up additional lenses that are not made by the manufacturer also has a draw back because most of Sony’s lenses are Auto Focus, and a 3rd party company usually will not include that technology, like this one, therefore, the lense is Manual Focus.
Having a Manual Focus lens is not the end of the world, but it is highly recommended for those who are more skilled at camera usage, and better at noticing the focus of the subjects they’re filming.
While this once more is not a Sony lens, due to the lens being built for the Sony E-Mount, specifically the on used by the A series cameras, this lens is able to fit and be specifically useful for this type of camera.
