Video Games For The Week Of September 4, 2018

PS4 & Xbox One

Shadows: Awakening
Within the Heretic Kingdoms Saga, Shadows: Awakening is the story of a Devourer, summoned to plunge the world into disaster. You work to consume souls, and master the Heretic Kingdoms. With the aide of your party, a band of powerful heroes, you have to decide if you are more the soul devoured, or the demon who devoured it. Choose to defeat the very people who summoned you, and save the world, or allow their plan to go forward, and cause destruction most foul.

Destiny 2: Forsaken – Legendary Collection
While Destiny 2 has been out, the legendary collection allows players who have not picked up the game an oppotunity to join into the world, and gain with it the expansions that came out at the same time. Additionally to the new story left off from Destiny 1, players will gain a Legendary Bow weapon, nine abilities, new activities, new quests, and a wealth of new weapons and gear. Additionally, the Destiny 2: Forsaken – Legendary Collection give players the ability to start the game at a higher level so that they are not held back by the lack of having played up to this point.

PS4

428: Shibuya Scramble
In the game you control five main characters through the course of a ten hour period. Choices you make for them effect the story of the following players. This creates a unique game play experience that can lead to 90 different endings from which the character can lead up to. Fair warning though, the subject matter of the game revolves around a kidnapping. If you liked games like Detroit Become Human, and others that allow control over the course of the game, I recommend that you give this game a try.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
The eleventh story within the Dragon Quest series from Yuji Horii and Akira Toriyama. The game is a stand alone entry, with new characters, and world. Returning players will find that the game is designed not to copy the prior games, but to appeal to longtime fans. The game has received the accolades of PlayStation’s Platinum Prize and a 40/40 score from Famitsu.
