Movies and Videos On Demand For The Week Of March 11, 2022

The Exorcism of God – Releasing in Theaters and Streaming

An US Citizen priest, Peter Williams, played by Will Beinbrink, is working in Mexico and well loved by his parishioners. When an exorcism goes wrong, the truth of the failure rocks his faith, but when another exorcism is needed, he sees it as a chance to make amends.

If you like Exorcism films, this one seems like it would be a supernatural experience that would be at least as good as the prior failure movies of the Exorcism series.


Offseason – Releasing in Theaters and Streaming

When Marie, played by Jocelin Donahue, discovers that her mother’s grave was vandalized, she makes her way to a remote island even though its basically abandoned for the offseason she is stranded. The events leading up to her mother’s death have another feel now that she is in this small town.

If you are looking for a suspenseful horror that isn’t specifically based on religious ideology like Exorcisms, then this film will be a lot of fun for you.


Outsiders – Releasing in Theaters and Streaming

Jaylen, played by Skylan Brooks, is being looked at because of another classmate, played by Clark Backo, has disappeared. While racism seems to be the only reason they conspire against him, he races to overcome the prejudice and clear his name.

If you want to watch a movie about racism with a sci-fi spin then this film will be a good option for you. Unfortunately, the racism is a major point of the film and if that is triggering for you, then you have to endure that to watch this movie.


Turning Red – Releasing on Streaming
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 94%

When 13-year-old Mei, voiced by Rosalie Chiang, starts to feel the pull of adolescence it starts to tear a void between herself and her mother. As she starts to become a woman, she starts to develop an interesting but problematic ability of turning into a giant red panda when she gets excited. As she journeys through the growing up, she learns that she needs her mother more then she thought.

It’s a very interesting Pixar film that covers a lot of the same things most Pixar movies hit down on, but still your children will love it.
