Movies Releasing For The Week of September 20

Bloodline – Releasing 09/20/19
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 80%

A serial killer, played by Seann William Scott, stops killing when he has a child, but his mother warns him that he needs to keep killing, or he might be putting them im harms way to his urges. However, his day job as a social worker, places him in the position to remove another father who hurts his child, he takes the opportunity. However as the investigation into their murder heats up, he may have put his family life in danger.

This feels a lot like Dexter in some ways, and Sean William Scott looks to shine in this role. I can’t wait to celebrate his return. Please don’t mess this one up. I have faith in it primarily because this is considered a Blumhouse, and the’ve been doing such a great job recently.

Loro – Releasing 09/20/19
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 82%

Silvio Berlusconi, played by Toni Servillo, is Europe’s most infmaous politician. From sedution, to corruption, with drugs and glamour inbetween, Paolo Sorrentino showcases the greed and lavious life of one of societies highest serpents.

If you like foreign films, and want a good intruige film, the I’d recommend checking this out. However if you are sensitive to the disgustingly extravagent life of politics, I’d recommend looking at something a little calmer this week.

Rambo: Last Blood – Releasing 09/20/19
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 47%

John Rambo, played by Sylvester Stallone, is back as once more, but he isn’t drawing first blood. He is drawing last blood, in a battle for revenge and vengeance that may take him to the very end of his life.

Stallone wont let this franchise die… or so he says. This is supposed to be the final story in the series, but I thought the last one was supposed to be. All that aside, if you want your action packed movie, this is it this week.

Running With The Devil – Releasing 09/20/19
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 20%

When a cocaine shipment is compromised to the dismay of a drug cartel’s CEO, known simply as The Boss, played by Barry Pepper, he orders his most trusted henchman, The Cook, played by Nicolas Cage, and his partner, another master drug trafficker known as The Man, played by Laurence Fishburne, on a dangerous journey to audit the company’s supply chain. As the drugs make their perilous trek across international borders, past gangsters, refiners, and couriers, they are also being tracked by Federal Agents. When The Cook realizes where the network is breaking down, it may be too late to keep the cartel satisfied.

I’m actually happy to see Nicolas Cage and Laurence Fishburne work together. Since his recent work, Nicolas Cage has shown that he can accept his age, and move more towards a dramatic role, and perform it in a manner that isn’t ridiculous. I’m giving this movie a chance, you should probably do it as well.

Zeroville – Releasing 09/20/19
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

Ike Jerome, a 24-year-old man on the autistism spectrum is currently studying to be an architect, becomes sidelined when his compulsion with film, Montgomery Clift, and Elizabeth Taylor (who he has tattoed on his head), takes him far from his journey, and into show business.

I don’t even know what to say. Like most James Franco films, this one looks to be a thinker, or a non-thinker disguised as a thinker. Tread softly with expectations here.
