We connected with this French StartUp, WheelMove during CES Unveiled.
This company was created specifically for the purposes of bringing freedom of mobility for all. How are they doing that? By giving wheelchair users additional access and ease of entry to places they normally wouldn’t be able to.
The WheelMove system is a device that attaches to the foot holders, and then raises the wheelchair off the ground slightly in the front, raising the front wheels. Then the all-terrain wheel will automatically move, with the ease of a simple button push.
The device plans to have a 25km range per battery, with a removable and replaceable battery, for keeping yourself moving. The device’s travel speed is 10 kph, and the chair can be steered normally with the handrails.
This product is currently available in France, planning release in Europe in 2026-2027, and finally coming to the USA 2027-2029. Find out more, and keep track of its release Here.
