AVOX LA Voice Acting Convention Cancelled For 2023

The time for AVOX LA has come and gone, but a lot of us were wondering, what happened to AVOX LA the upcoming voice actor themed convention which not only boosted the voices of some of the most underappreciated actors in the industry, but gave fans a much needed venue to connect to them.

We turned to our friend Chris DeMoulin, CEO of Comikaze Entertainment, to see if he could give us a bit of information as to what is happening with the convention.

Eric Bryan Seuthe II: There was talk about AVOX being rescheduled for Spring of 2023, are there still plans to move forward with the voice over convention?

Chris DeMoulin: At this time, based on fan input, it looks like we will not be doing a stand-alone AVOX event in the near future with PCB Productions. They own the rights to the idea, so they may re-conceive it at some point in the future and execute it on their own, or with other partners. In the interim, we are continuing to enhance the Anime content at L.A. Comic Con.

Eric: That’s sad. Are their any plans to still work on the project with PCB Productions?

Chris: Not at present, although they were great partners, and we wish them all success should they launch the event in the future.

So, that’s the unfortunate news. We are really sad to see that this convention has had a hiccup along it’s infancy. However, with the amount of work that is going into expanding the Los Angeles Comic Con space, we may not have to be sad for long. The amount of increasing that Los Angeles Comic Con is doing to grow events, vendors and experiences for gaming and anime means that convention goers will at least have a lot of options to still connect with their favorite voice actors!
