During CES, Kizik shoes reached out to us and asked us to cover their awesome product. Thanks to our engagement with the convention, we decided to jump at the chance and I chose the Prague Dusk Blue model.
Kizik shoes, if you’re on YouTube you’ve most likely seen an ad for this product already, creates the image of a man who literally can’t do anything right. Try to put on shoes and you fall over. It’s not an accurate idea about putting on shoes, but it’s comical. However, as someone who normally slides my feet into shoes, I didn’t know why I would need these.
On first inspection, it’s a real wonder what’s special about them. But unlike my shoes, which I slide my feet into, and they regularly have to adjust or twist my heel for them to fully slide on, these shoes are designed for it!
The Kizik shoe is designed with almost a springy nature of materials in the heel, which causes the heel of the shoe to want to pop back up into place.
While trying these shoes out on the first ten or so wears, I noticed that the heel was a bit more rigid than the advertisement states, so I thought maybe it was not an accurate advertisement. However, as I regularly wore the shoes, the heel became worked enough, and less rigid, allowing it to adjust to the point that every time the heel pops back into place!
One of the amazing things about the shoe that isn’t really covered and a lot of the advertisement and promotional campaigns is that they are incredibly comfortable. I regularly spend a lot of my days walking, or standing in place, and usually for long periods of time. These shoes took the brunt of that and were comfortable. If you work retail, work production lines, or have any jobs that require you to stand for a long period of time, these shoes are a great option to help reduce the traditional strain and stress your legs and feet take.
While the shoes are priced a little higher than you would get at bargain locations, the price you are paying is definitely worth it for the quality of shoes you are getting.
