The first official night of CES kicks off with Unveiled. An event that specifically focuses on products not seen anywhere else in the world until it’s launch at the Unveiled showcase. My choice this year, for my favorite, is the GE Profile Indoor Smoker. There were so many amazing items at the event tonight including health tech, video tech, and so many more, but the reason why I chose this item out of all the others has specifically to do with the fact of how much I love devices that make cooking easier and more convenient to the general public.
Smoking food is one of the cooking practices that are not exactly easy tasks without requiring a level of skill that a lot of people don’t specifically have. The invention of pellet smokers did make it a lot easier for novices, but still the practice and product is still incredibly difficult for the general marketplace.
So when I saw the GE Profile Indoor Smoker, I was taken aback by the small footprint, the ease of use, and the inclusion of pellet smoking to create an indoor and easy to use smoking device. On top of the inclusion of a perfect smoke reduction system, the use of an internal temperature probe, and the ability to adjust the smokiness of the product that you are creating with the spin of a dial, makes the unit incredibly easy to use.
They even showed off how it can be used to smoke sesame seed, smoke salt, and other everyday cooking items, as a great way to take normal cooking items and infuse them with smoke to take your cooking up a notch in any aspect of your kitchen.
