Wacom has now released its redesign of its flagship Intuos Pro Pen Tablet. For people who love Wacom, their first foray with the brand most likely was the Intuos line-up of tablets.
First and foremost, the thing I’m most excited for with regards to the Wacom’s updates to the Intuos Pro is that the new version brings the Pro Pen 3 into the world of Intuos Pro, and allows users to get the most powerful, receptive, and capable pen into their arsenal of tools! This is the same pen that is used with the Cintiq Pro drawing tablets. If you don’t want to use the Pro Pen 3, Wacom has partnered to allow a broad range of styluses that will work immediately.
The Pro Pen 3 is customizable and programmable to the artist’s preferences and style. As we’ve talked about before, the Pro Pen 3 even now is included with the brand new rubber nib which is slip-resistant to optimize precision and creates a more natural and physical art medium feeling that traditional artists will greatly enjoy. This even partners even more with Intuos Pro’s new textured surface!
Additionally, the new Intuos Pro table has updated its controls and design to feature brand new tactile controls. Feeling the way the dial rolls, and clicks into place as it’s being used is a complete tactile joy to experience.
Its chips are upgraded, its form is sleek and low profile, and the new dual dials at the top of the device are all designed to bring out the most from artists. The buttons are pre-configured, but can easily be customized to fit the user’s needs and access to the tools needed for their jobs.
The new Intuos Pro comes in three sizes, all in a 16:9 ratio, the small size weighs only 240g and is 8.5 inches by 6.4 inches with a work space of 7.4 inches by 4.1 inches. The tablet can connect up to three devices, one via USB and two with bluetooth, with a quick toggle switch. Additionally the tablet will work for up to 16 hours per charge.
