One such change a lot of offices, ours included, have implemented is temperature scanning before admitting parties to the business or event.
This task forces one of your people in the office however to be in close proximity to the random patron and places them at risk. Another drawback to this would be the fact that it takes up the time and productivity of the employee.
Lets be honest, if you can sacrifice the time for your employee to perform these checks, then the employee should be working from home, or shift scheduling to reduce office workers. However, the world marches on. So what is your solution?
The GateDoc is a unique way of getting the job done, without putting an employee at risk, or wasting their time with important gatekeeping for your location.
GateDoc is a self contained system that can be battery operated or plugged into direct current. The battery will even last either 1,000 scans or 20 hours on standby. When in use the device will awaken when approached, and scan the patron in roughly 0.5 seconds! Then the temperature of the patron will be displayed on the device. If the patron is within safe parameters, then they will be welcomed by the device to enter the property.
However, if the patron is above the required temperature, then they will be warned of their temperature and asked to not enter the property. To make sure that is the case, the owners of the GateDoc will receive an alert of the person, including their picture.
It’s important to note that temperature is not a constant symptom of COVID-19, but a potential symptom that people are likely to develop, the Journal of The American Medical Association only found 1/3 of reported a fever. So while this might not be the only way to protect your workforce, it should definitely be one of them in your toolbox!
