What DC Has Planned for Free Comic Book Day 2020

Free Comic Book Day is coming around the corner, on May 2, 2020. While this is not a company specific event, as all comic book companies get in on the festivities, but today we are going to talk about DC’s plans.

DC will be bringing two specific free comic books for brick and mortar stores!

  • DC’s Generation Zero: Gods Among Us
  • DC Middle Grade Graphic Novels Flipbook
  • DC’s Generation Zero: Gods Among Us

    This specific book will showcase whats coming next for the DC Universe in 32-page issue. The cover is created by Francis Manapul, and includes stories about Wally West and Wonder Woman. The most important thing anout the Gods Among Us book is that it will lay a foundation for the changes coming to the DC Universe in the new year. Stories in this book include: “Flash Forward: Epilogue” and “A Brave New World.”

    DC Middle Grade Graphic Novels

    This preview will showcase graphic novels which will be a great pair for middle school readers. This will featuring staples of the DC Universe including characters like Batman, as well as all-new characters. One of the unique style of this book is the “flipbook” style, which is sized to match the dimensions of DC’s middle grade books. The book will include the first chapters of “Batman: Overdrive” from one of our favorite creates, Shea Fontana, and “Batman Tales: Once Upon A Crime”, from Derek Fridolfs is a four part story series focusing each on Damian Wayne, Alfred, Batman, and more…

    Remember that both of these comic books will be free until they run out at participating brick and mortar stores on Free Comic Book Day, Saturday, May 2, 2020.
