Changes Coming To Glendale And Pasadena Public Library E-Reading Options

Starting tomorrow, September 14. 2020, Glendale and Pasadena Public Library are changing up their online e-reading digital collections. They are severing their relationship with OverDrive and the Libby app for use with eBooks and eAudiobooks.

While you can finish reading the books you have already checked out, but OverDrive and Libby will no longer allow you to log into them with your Glendale library card. While it might seem like a disadvantage, the change to their new services though will expand the number of eBooks available.

Here are the new and existing services available tomorrow:

cloudLibrary – Over 210,000 eBooks and eAudiobooks, accessible on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

Freading – Over 125,000 eBooks, accessible on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

RBDigital – Over 17,000 magazines and Audiobooks, accessible on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

Hoopla – Over 72,000 movies, music, eBooks, comics, and TV shows, accessible on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
