Angel stadium of Anaheim held for the very first time the Monster Jam Superstar challenge.
Inside the actual event, every seat has an amazing view. People in the audience were prompted to pick one of two teams, with multiple drivers spread out amongst the teams. This even pit brother against brother, and parent against child. Whether you were Team Neon or Team Nitro, there was amazing vehicles and drivers on both sides.
The event itself was broken down into three categories, racing, stunt, and freestyle.
Racing was all about getting through all the obstacles as fast as possible, and included every car on the roster.
Stunt gave performers only one chance to perform a unique and awesome spectacle for all to see.
Freestyle gave each racer 120 seconds to use the obstacle course to its full advantage, performing stunts tricks, aerial leaps, or just enjoying and using the space.
At the end of the championship there were winners of each category, with points awarded to drivers based on their performance within the events. While Tyler Menninga from Gravedigger on Team Nitro won every single event, Team Neon still pulled out more points total from their team, allowing them to snag a complete victory for the evening.
It’s easy to see how people become obsessed and enjoy Monster Jam as it is a fully engaging and amazing experience. If you get the chance, I definitely recommend that you pick up tickets to the next Monster Jam experience.
