Movies and Videos On Demand For The Week Of November 10, 2023

It’s A Wonderful Knife – Releasing in Limited Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 74%

What happens when you mix the final girl of a horror film, with It’s a Wonderful Life? Winnie Carruthers, played by Jane Widdop wishes she was never born and finds herself stuck in a version of her world where the killer is still murdering. Now she has to stop them again if she ever wants to return to her reality.

This feels like a really awesome mix of a couple genres, like Freaky. If you like a lighter style but, a lot of fun and action, then this is the film for you. Plus you have a Justin Long and Joel McHale providing even more humor!

Japan – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

When a notorious master thief steals a fortune in jewels at a jewelry shop, it kicks off a cat-and-mouse story between him and the police as they chase and evade.

While this is a foreign film, the increase in love of Bollywood films, and the quality of Raju Murugan in his work as a director, we thought this would be a good option this week. If you are looking for a thriller, then this film might be right for you!

The Killer – Releasing in Limited Theaters and then a week later on Streaming
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 87%

After a fateful near-miss, an assassin, played by Michael Fassbender, must battle his bosses as an international manhunt pushes him to his limits.

This is an action film that if you like thrillers, and violent stories, then this is a great option for you.

The Marvels – Releasing in Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 54%

After years of fighting the Kree, Carol Danvers, played by Brie Larson, must deal with the fallout of the unintended consequences that has pulled in her friend’s daughter, Monica Rambeau and fangirl Kamala Khan, played by Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani. Now the three will have to work together to stop a Kree revolution before things get out of hand.

I know reviews are not looking good, but to be honest, we loved Ms. Marvel, and we can’t wait to see the three heroes fight side by side. Some people won’t see it, and that’s fine, but I’m excited.

Your Lucky Day – Releasing in Limited Theaters and then a four days later on Streaming
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 94%

What would you do for 156 million dollars. This very subject of Your Lucky Day, when a dispute over who gets a winning lottery ticket takes a turn, and the greed leads to a deadly hostage situation.

This thriller and action film plays slightly as a mystery, but if you are looking for tense film then this film would be a great one to check out this week.
