Movies Releasing For The Week Of October 26, 2018

We are back for another week. Ready to get my … Interesting take on movies?

Here is what movies are coming out tomorrow, and if we suggest you watching them.

The Bill Murray Stories: Life Lessons Learned From a Mythical Man – Releasing 10/26/18
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 100%

A man called up Bill Murray’s voicemail and pitched him a documentary about all of the times that Bill Murray has randomly appeared in peoples lives. Then Bill Murray randomly appeared in his. Well less random, and more planned. This documentary follows the “No One Will Every Believe You” stories and looks to find meaning in Bill Murray’s interactions and surprise ventures into everyday people’s lives.

Yeah, I steer clear of a lot of documentary films, but I am watching this one, even if no one will ever believe me.

Bride of Violence – Releasing 10/26/18
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

The story of a man and his girlfriend. Their camping trip is ruined by violence, graphic and twisted violence. This movie looks so weird and confusing. The movie is based on a short story by Lawrence Block, within his book “One Night Stands and Lost Weekends”.

In the month of October, ever week has to have a horror film, and this week, Bride of Violence is the movie. If you are easily disturbed, or not a fan of violence, do not watch this film that is styled after the horror films of old. With definite homages to Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Hunter Killer – Releasing 10/26/18
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 38%

Unrest has occurred in Russia. as the President is taken hostage by a rogue agent within the government. As the new regime presses for war, the Unites States must act. Gerald Butler plays an untested submarine captain who must work with angry factions of the Unites States government, as well as Russian guides to try to avoid the beginning of World War 3.

This is an action movie, with guns, missiles, torpedoes and explosions. It’s made by the same people who made Olympus has Fallen, and it likely will have the same amount, if not more, action. If you are an action guy, then watch this movie, like I had to even tell you. This movie is likely to do really well, with no action movie out at this time to compete with it.

Johnny English Strikes Again – Releasing 10/26/18
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 38%

Stolen from the story-line of Skyfall, a hacker reveals the identity of MI7’s undercover agents. Retired Johnny English was not on the list, and is called back in to help Britain find and take down the mysterious and dangerous hacker.

In preparation for this movie I watched Johnny English Reborn. Hell Google kept telling me this movie was coming out before. Like almost ten alerts about it, before I even saw the prior film. That being said, I have no idea what this movie is trying to be. He is someone who is very skilled at the job of being a spy, but bad at the mental fortitude to actually perform the job without an adult informing him on what is the appropriate action. That being said this weird dichotomy is what ruins this franchise for me. If I wanted a bumbling skilled spy, Archer does it so much better. However Rowan Atkinson is a god at physical comedy. If you are interested in a comedy to watch, you could do worse.

Solis – Releasing 10/26/18
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

In the style of Gravity, this tragic Sci-Fi thriller tells the take of an astronaut, who suffers a catastrophe that leaves him in a dangerous position. His escape capsule is heading toward the Sun, with no way to slow, change the course, or prevent his inevitable doom. He is talking to a rescue crew who is in route, but will arrive too late. He frantically does what ever it takes to be able to survive the ordeal.

This is a dark Sci-Fi, and will likely connect to people who have seen Gravity, or even Apollo 13. This movie is simple in it’s graphics. No giant aliens, no massive ships, just a man in a small space ship drifting in space. It’s a simple story, and it looks very impressive and interesting. If you are in need of a suspenseful film, this will fit the bill this week.
