The Equalizer 3 – Releasing in Theaters

Robert McCall, played by Denzel Washington, is dealing with the repercussions of the acts he had to perform as a government assassin. During his haze, he discovers that his friends are under the thumb of a local crime boss in Italy, so he turns to what he does best to protect his friends.

It’s the Equalizer. What more do I have to say. If you are looking for an action packed thriller, then no one does it like Denzel!

The Good Mother – Releasing in Limited Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

When Marissa, played by Hilary Swank, son was murdered she partners with his pregnant girlfriend, played by Olivia Cooke, to track down the killers. While she has journalistic skills thanks to her background, it puts them both into a world of corruption and drugs.

It’s an interesting film that holds a heavy understory, and the general fact that the film places a pregnant woman in harms way. So be forewarned about that.

Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose – Releasing in Limited Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

A wildly adventure in 1935 London. Famed “paranormal” psychologist Dr. Nandor Fodor, played by Simon Pegg, begins to investigate a family’s claims that one of their animals are talking. However, a further investigation uncovers hidden motives.

This is a Legion M film, and as a huge supporter of them on this site, we are glad to see that this film was able to come to the theaters thanks to them and their everyday stockholders!

Perpetrator – Releasing in Theaters and Streaming
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 83%

Due to her reckless lifestyle Jonny, played by Kiah McKirnan, is sent to live with her aunt, played by Alicia Silverstone. Her family however has a radical metamorphosis upon their 18th birthday. Upon that time in her life though, it happens to her and now mythically feral Jonny can’t help but go after the person behind some recent abductions.

This feels a lot like the recent Sabrina show, and it doesn’t help that Silverstone’s character is called Aunt Hilda. That being said, I love a revenge story, and when you add in power dynamics switching and the mystical issues then it’s a lot of fun.

Slotherhouse – Releasing in Limited Theaters
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

When Emily, played by Lisa Ambalavanar, decides she wants to be the sorority president in College, but to win, she will need something to bolster her humor. The idea to hire a sloth comes to mind, but when people start to die around her, it becomes clear that the Sloth is behind it.

This is a weird looking horror film, that is pretty ridiculous. It reminds me of Monkey Shine, about a helper monkey that takes on the form of the victim’s rage and murders his enemies. I actually am interested to see how it goes.
