During the Midsummer Scream convention, we took in the Knott’s Scary Farm Preview panel. Knott’s Berry Farms plans to release their full line-up during their special Nightmares Revealed event, ahead of the release however, they did take the time at the convention to specifically announce a couple things. During this panel, they talked about which mazes will be celebrating their last year, and revealed one big experience coming to the park!
So what does Knott’s have in store for 2026? Let’s break it down first, by the mazes that are leaving for good.
Origins: The Curse Of Calico
Origins, at this point, is one of the longest running mazes of Knott’s Scary Farm. The Green Witch, at the center of the maze, has become an icon in the park. Whether you are experiencing her in the area around the maze, like Calico, or enjoying the experience within her maze, you likely remember her most of all from your time at the park. Keeping the maze at the forefront, and making it amazing is a behemoth of a task. The maze has utilized a high production value thanks to the incredible talent who execute on it every year, year after year.
Chilling Chambers
When it comes to Chilling Chambers, Knott’s wanted a tribute to the park’s amazing history, and with the 50th anniversary, they created an anthology maze that utilizes the theme and iconic imagery of Scary Park’s classic mazes. The name itself comes from the park’s first experience “10 Chilling Chambers.” Each year they utilize how they merge and combine the experiences. They do their best to not only represent prior mazes in the Chamber’s tombstones, but also in respecting the history of mazes that have come and passed. The only sad news is that Chilling Chambers won’t be able to host its own tombstone before it’s gone.
As for new experiences, this is the new one for the park:
Carnevil
With the departure of Mesmer last year, everyone was sad to see him go, but we have taken a turn as we travel to the 1900s and we deal with Mesmer now having lost his abilities trying to gain it back while travelling with an evil circus, Carnevil. Included with the experience is the Barker, and freaks, alongside the queen of the Clowns who carves designs into the faces of the clowns that she has marked as her own.
