Sharing your password with friends and family is a thing that Netflix wants to put a stop to, specifically to increase their actual pay users, and increase their profit margin.
It makes sense from a business perspective, but you have to laugh at the fact that Netflix a long time ago suggested sharing passwords to get more users.
So in an effort to push people to make their own accounts, they are pushing the concept of profile transferring.
But should you transfer your profile? Would you want to?
First and foremost, we aren’t talking about or being pro-password sharing, but things happen in relationships, and people leave houses all the time. Exes don’t normally let you stay on their account. Well, unless you find a well-planned deception…
While it might not seem like it, there is a definite benefit to transferring your account, instead of making a new one.
The main reason is that it will keep your view lists, your history, your analytics, and your suggestions will be more accurate within the system.
To be able to transfer accounts, you just need to go into your settings and allow users to turn on the feature in your profile, and then others on your account will be able to transfer their users into new accounts.
