Breaking Bad is back in the zeitgeist, as El Camino comes out today, and is released in theaters!
So with this in the modern times, what does that mean for fans? Well on top of the shocking news for those who were holding out hope, Vince Gilligan confirmed that Bryan Cranson‘s iconic Walter White is dead.
Six years ago, the original series ended with Walter White, refused death from Jesse Pinkman, only to die as a result of the ineviatable actions that he had caused, i.e. a homemade trunk automated turret.
People had theorized that Walter White’s cancer, and treatment had created the perfect storm to allow the character to live.
Film Theory uses bullet and medical theory to show that Walt would have survived the injury. He uses the theory that people will lung cancer, are more likely to clot, and therefore have less internal bleeding.
Bryan Cranston>/u> himself stoked the fires by stating “Was there a coroner’s report?” and “Was there a listing in the obituaries?” at San Diego Comic-Con in 2018.
While on The Rich Eisen Show, Gilligan stated unequivically, “Yes, Walter White is dead. Yes.”
Don’t be sad though, as I am sure Bryan Cranston will be in El Camino. This based on the fact, that while Netflix and Gilligan have done their best to hide the cast from the public, Jonathon Banks, who playes Mike Ehrmantraut, has been confirmed to be in the project, even though his character is also dead.
However, now lets talk about something a little more fun for people looking to celebrate and get in the Breaking Bad mood, before watching El Camino!
