Kevin Smith Celebrates Birthday With All his Fans With Drive-In Movie

Birthdays are a private affair, only usually celebrated by the person and their closest friends and family. When major benchmarks in your life occurs, people usually hold an even larger celebration. Because it’s Kevin Smith’s 50th Birthday, he too wants to hold a much larger celebration.

Because of this, and the love of his fans, Kevin Smith is going to hold a special event. For one night only, you can hold yourself in the same esteem as Kevin Smith’s friends and family as we help him celebrate this milestone in his life.

On August 3rd, Kevin Smith will hold a screening of Jay & Silent Bob Reboot at the Paramount Drive-In theater. After the film Kevin will even host a special birthday “An Evening With Kevin Smith” similar to what Kevin Smith did on his 37th birthday for his special “A Threevening with Kevin Smith“.

On top of the showing of this great fan favorite film, and awesome Q&A, the event will have catering from the Moobys Pop-Up, (which we covered previously Here), and they will also be selling their merchandise.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the LA Food Bank, which works hard to acuire and distribute food for the needy with the help of charitable organizations. Their work has occured since 1973, and they have in their lifetime distributed over 1.2 billion pounds of food!

As always though, with every physical event, we feel it’s important to share our article about if people should attend physical experiences during the pandemic. Please check out our article on ”If You Should Go Out” Here before you make any choices.

With health in safety in mind, the event specifically is relatively safe, since people will majorly be within their own car, and therefore only are interacting with their own guests, but the event is still requiring masks for anyone outside of their car, including the snack bar and bathrooms. Guests are only allowed to exit their car to visit the snack bar and bathrooms, and not to congregate or view the movie. When outside of their cars, guests must must remain social distancing at all times. People who do not follow the guidelines will be asked to leave the event without a refund.

Tickets for the event are sold at $100, but it’s specifically per car. While the tickets are sold out at this time you can put yourself on the waitlist by heading Here.

If you can’t attend, but still want to experience some of the View Askewverse, then you might be interested in ordering your own “make yourself” cowtippers from Moobys, find out more about that Here.
