Olythe Works To Help The Professional Workforce With OCICorp

Olythe is the creator of the OCIGO, which uses an infrared spectroscopic breath measurement breathalyzer to create a rapid and incredibly accurate reading. Just recently it was approved by the DOT for use in traffic and law enforcement uses. (see our initial article Here for more information.)

Now Olythe set’s their sights on helping the professional field. On the job drinking is a serious problem, with some construction workforces around the world consuming alcohol 40% of the time. In a lot of fields like transportation, and workforces that use heavy machinery, the mixture of alcohol can lead to loss of life, and legal complications.

Now coming to Europe, Olythe’s OCICorp app will offer businesses a way to connect their workforce with OCIGO breathalyzers to enforce remote testing at any random or planned time.

If an employee does not take, or fails their test, it will inform their supervisors, and the device will even calculate the amount of time that would be needed for an employee to safely return to work.

While I know it seems a little bit like Big Brother, and I do think it should be fine to consume an alcoholic beverage at lunch, but there is a lot of things to be considered. Moderation, and the responsibilities people have when they become the agent of their employer. We give up our time specifically to earn a wage, by performing the task of an employer, and they don’t want you doing it while drunk.

Now the employer can be sure that their workforce and worksites are safe.

If you’d like to purchase your own Olythe’s OCIGO, you can do so for $299 directly on Olythe.io or on Amazon.

We’ll let you know if and when OCICorp app is available in the USA.
