We Chat Up Will Wheeler, Co-Founder At Partie!

Last month, we talked about Partie in our announcement article, Find it Here. Now we got a chance to sit down with Will Wheeler, the Co-Founder from the company, to ask them some questions about their matchmaking service!

Eric Bryan Seuthe II: We love video games here, so frankly we are happy to see more support and options specializing in this field.

Will Wheeler: Thank you! We appreciate the kind words and support.

Eric: Looking at the partner system, how much time on average does a player need to use the system to become a partner?

Will: First and foremost, we actively seek and review applications for outstanding Partner candidates who will create positive and engaging Parties in our community as well as uphold the quality and values of our platform.

Partner applications are directly reviewed by our team and may be sent to existing Members by invitation or unlocked by completing the Partner Progress objectives and obtaining all the required Badges

We do not set specific criteria that guarantee Partnership (including time spent on platform) but we do outline all eligibility factors and considerations here.

Eric: Sites like Twitch created a fast track system for established parties, however your system looks to focus on a different aspect in the gaming world, do you simply process their application of established people by looking into their followings, or do you look into how they game as well to decide in making them partners?

Will: Applications can be considered based on other factors, such as having a significant following on other services or platforms, and/or being a proficient player in a particular game title.

If you have established a large audience on other services such as YouTube or Twitter, and/or would like to be considered for your gameplay credentials, you can contact us here.

No matter your path, you must complete the Partner application and onboarding process to activate your status and verify your Partnership.

Eric: Have you guys considered working with large names in gaming, to host celebrity gamer matchmaking events?

Will: We consider anything that would bring value to our community and support our platform goals so long as it aligns with our brand and mission.

Currently, we work with several outstanding Partners, including ChocoTaco, Sacriel, PewDiePie, and Bajheera.

Eric: Partners not only earn money for their gaming, but also depending on the success of the community as a whole, how exactly will that factor into payment of Partners?

Will: Partner revenue is earned by successfully hosting and completing Parties with any squad in any title or game type. As a Partner, your earnings total per Partie varies and scales with the size of our active subscriber base and immediate demand for Parties. We do not promise or guarantee a bare minimum.

Eric: I see partners still pay the subscription fee for the service, does being a partner specifically work as a way to pay back the fee, or do you see the average Partner being able to pull back a substantial income off of their gaming?

Will: For proficient gamers that don’t necessarily have the personalities or resources for streaming or can’t dedicate that much time to it, Partie is the perfect platform for them to earn revenue.

We want to create achievable earning opportunities for gamers, which is partly supported by our subscription model, and we expect average earnings to become more significant for our Partners over time.

Eric: Thanks for creating this new way to connect!

    Will: Thank you, Eric!
