Nerd Tasting – Snake River Farms Wagyu Corned Beef

We loved Corned Beef, it’s one of our favorite things about the questionable holiday that is St. Patrick’s Day. While the actual holiday has darker origins, in the United States it was a great way for Irish people, who were looked down on by society when they originally arrived, to be able to celebrate their heritage, and connect with others.

One of the traditional dishes of modern times however is Corned Beef made from Beef Round and brined to give it a more pastrami taste and style. Served with potatoes and cabbage, anyone eating this dish can pretend for a minute or too that they also are Irish on this holiday.

As for this version of the meat, it was amazing. My wife, who says that she doesn’t like Corned Beef said that this was the best Corned Beef that she has ever had, and even went back for seconds. So if that isn’t a sign that this is worth the extra price point, then I don’t know what is!
