Today we celebrate the anniversary of Marvel Comic’s super hero team, The Inhumans.
The Inhumans are more then just a team as they are a race of beings that were created in 1965 by Stan Lee, with art from Jack Kirby. They were designed to be inhuman like characters, the first being a villian designed to be like a centaur. They originally designed them to come from a specific country, but as they were developed, they were described as a group that was evolutionarily advanced, in comparison to normal human beings.
In the series of comics relatively disappeared from the Marvel line-up from 1977 through 1988, and then returned with much success unfortunately until 2017, which we are about to get to.
While the Inhuman had some success within the series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., their stand alone series that released in 2017 was panned as a failure, that led to the removal of a planned film within the MCU. However, Black Bolt did return in the Doctor Strange sequel, Multiverse of Madness in 2022.
With all this in mind, here our some of our favorite Inhumans in Comic Books.

Fantastic Four #45 (1965) What starts off as a chance encounter takes a turn. Johnny meets a woman named Crystal and upon meeting her family he recognizes one of them as Medusa. This forces him to call for back up from the Fantastic Four, as Crystal and Medusa are part of the Inhumans. When their leader Black Bolt arrives, the two groups clash. |

Thor #146 (1967) A back-up story with-in the comic book titled “The Origin of… the Incomparable Inhumans!” Within this story we see the mythic origin of the Inhumans, that were planted on this Earth early within humans inception. Due to not fitting in, they became a nomadic civilization to continue their experiments. In their experiments they discover the Terrigen Mists which can either unlock super powers, or catastrophe. |

Inhumans #1 (1998) When Attilan, the home of the Inhumans, falls under attack, the battle comes from outside and within. Now the Royal Family, and Inhumans, led by Black Bolt, must fight off those who would attack them, while also fending off his brother and his insane plans. This series even won an Eisner Award for Best New Series. |
