Julien’s Auctions has partnered with Turner Classic Movies to create “The Ultimate Batmobile Auction” which features an extraordinary lineup artifacts from the Batman film franchise ever to be offered at auction. This even includes the Hero Vehicle from Batman Returns.
One of the most recognized movie or cinematic vehicles in Hollywood is and will likely always be the Batmobile in Tim Burton’s 1992 Batman Returns. As well as the darker aesthetic for Gotham City, the style acting, characters changed the look of Batman in comic book. The Batmobile was custom built by Carl Casper who based the designs off of Anton Furst and Julian Caldow.
The vehicle features a custom fiberglass body which was built on two Chevrolet Impala chassis, has a radio-controlled flaming exhaust system, and is coated in the original glossy black paint.
