Born today 35 years ago on January 14, 1990, Grant Gustin was born Thomas Grant Gustin in Norfolk, Virginia. During High School he attended the Governor’s School for the Arts program for musical theater. He continued his desire to act by participating in the Hurrah Players Incorporated. When he graduated high school in 2008 he attend the BFA Music Theater Program at Elon University in North Carolina.
Gustin left school to join the Broadway Revival of West Side Story, for a year, playing the role of Baby John. Shortly after that he took on the reoccurring role of Sebastian Smythe, an openly gay member of a competitive school to the main characters on Glee.
The following year, he got the role of Barry Allen in the second season of Arrow. They decided to create a spinoff series of The Flash, and the series lasted for nine seasons on the CW!
For most fans of the series, Grant Gustin is known specifically as the best Barry Allen, and even want to see him eventually become the Flash in the new DC film universe.
Barry Allen’s inclusion in DC Comics basically starts the Silver Age of comics, and has become one of the largest figures of the DC Universe. You can’t even think about a team up story without the possibility of including the scarlet speedster. With that in mind, and in celebration of one of Grant Gustin’s longest runs in his career as a character, we want to share some of our favorite stories with the character.

In the second story, the Flash specifically breaks the time barrier to deliver a villain from a different time to the prison he was supposed to arrive at.
