Queen Mary 2, the sister ship of the infamous vessel that rests in Long Beach currently, has made its first transit through the Panama Canal!

This is a massive milestone for Cunard’s iconic ocean liner, as it continues its World Voyage.

Guests traveling on the Queen Mary 2 are undertaking a 108-night journey around the world, and as part of it, got the chance to pass through the Canal’s new set of locks. Guests of the World Voyage will next move on to memorable destinations like Los Angeles, Sydney, Cape Town, Hong Kong, and Singapore before returning to Southampton.

The Queen Mary 2 will be arriving in Los Angeles for February 2, 2026 after having not visited Southern California for 17, and visiting its name sake the Queen Mary for the first time in 20 years!
