While Husqvarna Group was founded in 1689, today they they are the worlds leading manufacturer of innovative products and solutions for forest, park and garden management.
They create products like chainsaws, trimmers, riding lawnmowers and garden irrigation. The reason we want to talk about them now however, is their robotic lawnmowers.
Husqvarna was the first to introduce a robotic mower, back in 1995. Now, they are introducing the Husqvarna iQ series. This verion of mower is wire-free, customizable, and flexible to work in any yard. The smartest robotic mower yet!
What does wire-free mean, most if not all mowers are uncoreded, but utilize boundary-wires to instruct where to mow. The devices new EPOS (Exact Positioning Operating System) technology utlizes satellite based systems to create a wire-free mowing setup. For people without good coverage, however, they are still able to meet partial or fully wired installations.
Additionally, Husqvarna’s Automower Connect app lets you customize cut height, pattern, schedules, and more right in the application on your phone.
The device is able to cut from 1” to 4” and can handle 45% – 70% slopes thanks to it’s raised chassis, optimized bumper design, and larger wheels.
The battery and system is designed to mow from 1/4 an acre all the way up to 2 acres!
