320 Conversations Is Bringing Mental Health Discussions To USC Hosted By Ken Jeong

Kevin Lyman, a USC professor who was a founder of the Vans Warped Tour has partnered with Talinda Bennington, the wife of Chester Bennington of Linkin Park, have come together to announce a special event, 320 Conversations taking place at USC on March 9, 2020. Their reason for doing this is to find a new way to speak about the importance of mental health, and to de-stigmatize mental illness.

People are suffering in silence, and 320 Conversations are bringing inspiring individuals together to talk about their own personal experiences and the challenges they have encountered, all within a safe and open environment.

To help host the night, everyone’s favorite celebrity doctor, or at least the funniest one, Ken Jeong will bring the funny, to help cut through the serious of the evening, so people will loosen up and feel more comfortable discussing things that society has inappropriately forced to be secretive and shameful.

To help with fighting the stigma, the event will bring panelists Tiffany Jenkins, from Juggling The Jenkins, Morgan Freed, co-founder of Emo Nite LA, Jason Docton, CEO of Rise Above The Disorder, and Erin Raftery Ryan, Director of NAMI Westside Los Angeles.

As an added bonus for those in attendance, Justin Furstenfeld, of Blue October, will be performing his one man show.

If you feel lost, and that no one else is experiencing what you are going through, then this is the event for you, because you are not alone, and you are not hopeless. It’s okay that you feel the way you do, now find the help and support at this event, so you can gain the strength to help yourself out of the darkness.

People who attend this event will also be able to hear the first news regarding the first ever 320 Festival, which they plan to bring to L.A. Live in the near future. Kevin Lyman says the reason for creating this music festival is that “…if you empower today’s youth and create experiences where a community can have fun and come together it will create a melting pot for true societal change. The 320 Festival embodies that thinking.”
