ABEYE Showcases New Dyslexia Solution Device At CES

Abeye is returning to CES to showcase a new device that will help dyslexic people be able to interact with the world in a way much like non-dyslexic people. Their last device, the Lexilens, was a smart eyeware device first showcased by Abeye at Unveiled in 2020. The device won an innovation award as it worked to instantaneously improve reading fluency and comprehension for people suffering from dyslexia.

Now, since it has been commercial launched, the Lexilens eyewear has helped over 5000 dyslexic users in over 36 countries. The most impressive fact is that in general 92% of the device’s users have been helped by the tool and find its ability to increase fluency and comprehension to a satisfactory level!

The Lexilens uses embedded electronics which is calibrated with an app on the user’s phone and can be turned off and on to help control the lenses and prevent/suppress “internal crowding” in the user’s visual cortex.

The suppression of the crowding is what instantly improves the abilities of the users suffering from dyslexia. For someone who family and friends who suffer from this condition, we can understand why users feel like the device restored self-confidence and corrected the feeling of social isolation.

For those who hate wearing glasses though, the company has another surprise down the line. Coming in September of next year however, Abeye is creating a Full HD computer monitor titled “Lexilens screen” that takes the technology of the glasses and places it within the monitor, removing the need for the glasses for anyone who is using the monitor, and allowing them the same benefits of the glasses. The monitor is now available for pre-order Here.

We plan to stop by and cover this company more at CES, so keep your EYES open for our further coverage!
