During CES we checked out an amazing company by the name of Audioscenic. This company specializes in software that has been utilized by companies like Razor and Acer for a soundbar and monitor.
When it comes to simulated rear speakers and even up-firing Dolby Atmos speakers, it’s all a gambit depending on the room placement and your placement within the space on whether or not atmospheric sound can create a true rear and up firing sound system. That is where Audioscenic is trying to create a better experience.
So where the technology works is a closed system degrees into the camera that scans and detects the outer edge of your eyes as well as the bottom of your nose. It then uses that information and the device is built in speakers to create a simulated audio experience that directionalizes the noise around your head creating the effects of a 7.1 headset.
The Acer monitor specifically can use the AI sensing of your eye placement to create simulated 3D screens without the need of glasses.
Whether you’re listening to music, playing video games, or are in a team’s meeting, there’s so many benefits to being able to create a stereo sound that wraps around you with this technology.
