New Comic Highlights for May 2023

There are a lot of comic books coming out next month, and the last Comics Round Up of the month is dedicated to what is coming out the following month. So here are some of the comics I am looking forward to, that are coming out next coming month!

Have you wanted to see more young Groot? Well Marvel is looking into the past of the tranquil tree until invaders attack his planet. Can Groot stop the monsters, or will he be forced to face off against the interesting Kree Soldier Mar-Vell. Created by Dan Abnett with art from Damian Couceiro.


Peacemaker Tries Hard #1 (from DC Comics)

After resolving his debt to society with the Suicide Squad, Peacemaker tries to return to being just a normal every day hero. Unfortunately, it’s not so easy to be taken seriously by the super hero and villain world. However when a villain kidnaps his new dog, he is forced to do what the villain wants to save the creatures life. Created by Kyle Starks with art from Steve Pugh.


Arcade Kings #1 (from Skybound Comics)
Releasing May 17, 2023
Within the Round House Arcade of Infinity City, a new challenger has arrived. Joe seems to be able to beat back all who contest his skills, but Joe’s secret past finds him in his new city. Created by Dylan Burnett.


Rocketeer #1 (from IDW Publishing)
Releasing May 31, 2023
Rocketeer returns to comics, and he is bringing unique stories including Amelia Earhart, fighting a Japanese Zero in the South Pacific, and an adventure with a familiar archeologist. Created by Danny Bilson, Paul Demeo, Robert Windom, and Kelvin Mao with art from Craig Cermak, Jae Lee, and Adam Hughes.
