Nerd Taste of Hawaii: Cheeseburgers In Paradise

This is one of our favorite locations within Maui and Lahaina. There is something even more about this location then just simply a good burger. However, the burger is good though!

When we go to this location, we always sit in the upstairs area, and try to get a window seat. The view out this restaurant is amazing, and probably the best view of your trip. All open air with small fans, the ocean breeze keeps this restaurant quite perfectly temperature. They call themselves an “Easygoing American Outpost” but includes tiki flare, and license plates from around the states. The design of the establishment is very relaxing, the soothing sound of crashing water against the shore doesn’t hurt.

Get your Loco Moco in the morning, or head in a little later in the day for their amazing burgers. We prefer the “Cheeseburger Island Style”, their traditional burger, but topped with kalua pork, pineapple and teriyaki sauce!

Regardless of when you come, it’s important to note that they keep the place bouncing with live entertainment every night from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., their house musicians focusing on contemporary and classic rock.

The Unbelievable Story of Cheeseburgers In Paradise:
Two girls visiting the islands, got tired of fish in Hawaii, and dreamed of Cheeseburgers. Shortly after returning home to Southern California, they decided to ditch their life of running a picture framing stand at a swapmeet, and head back to the Island of Maui to open a cheeseburger restaurant in Lahaina!

Throwing caution to the wind, and making ever mistake they rushed to the island and signed a 5 year lease for the oceanfront location in Lahaina back in 1989. Today, Cheeseburgers in Paradise serves over 1200 guests a day, and 18,000 Cheeseburgers a month in Hawaii.

While they have other successful locations in Wailea and Waikiki none are as amazing and beautiful, with as stunning a view as the Cheeseburgers in Paradise location in Lahaina.

Visit Cheeseburgers In Paradise at 811 Front St, Lahaina, HI 96761, next time you hit the island!
