Spring is finally here which means the flowers are blooming and new events like Springtopia are booming!
When I first heard about Springtopia I thought it would be an event with flowers and bunnies and rainbows. But it’s definitely so much more than that! It’s a hodgepodge of amusement. Explore 7 different lands inside their 200,000 square foot playground in the Woodland Hills Promenade Parking lot (where Hauntoween usually resides during spooky season).
Don your 3d glasses and enter the big top through an immersive 3d circus with clowns at every corner. Dance to silent disco while enjoying cotton candy and the flurry of bubbles in Fun Land. Pet the adorable puppies in Puppy Land. Journey through a light show wonderland that is sure to enchant you from under the sea to outer space.
For those who are 12 and up, brave Spooky Land where jump scares are bound to happen around most corners. Cleanse that Halloween palette in Holiday Land with gingerbread houses, sleighs, Christmas trees, snowfall, and a dancing elf and Grinch! Walk the plank (my daughter’s favorite activity) in Pirate Land, and “swim” with the sharks!
And as fun as these lands are, don’t forget to make time for the carnival at the end. Rides are free, included with admission. The only extra costs are food and beverages, and any carnival games. Our favorites here were the big slide, Surf Shack obstacle course, and the rollercoaster. Food options include tacos, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, chicken, fries. Beverages include beer, cocktails, and standard sodas. The Tropic Truck serves up some tasty agua dulces with their delicious Caribbean fusion.
Overall, it’s a fun time with plenty of photo opportunities. Come after school (Weds-Fri starting at 4pm) or on the weekends (Sat-Sun starting at 10am). The whole experience will take about 1.5-2 hours but you can stay as long as you’d like. There are no in and out privileges though.
Tickets start at $35 now through April 16th and are available Here!
