We love the Scandinavian Festival, while others might be out celebrating the conclusion of the The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire, we are more than happy to be instead at California Lutheran University for their yearly festival dedicated to the heritage of Scandinavian people.
During the experience there are music presentations, food sales, cooking demonstrations, stage performances, and even children crafts.
One of our favorite experiences is the cooking demonstrations that shows you how to make a lot of traditional dishes that they hope people will use to find out their family recipes and help pass them along to the younger generation.
The experience also houses a Viking Encampment and Sámi Camp demonstration that will let people see what various walks of life for Scandinavians would have looked like. There is even True Thomas reading stories and lore that you would find around a fire in a hall in the days of old.
Hopefully, if you missed this year, you can check it out next year. Find out more about their future events Here!
