3rd Annual Texas Corgi Roundup – Review

The 3rd Annual Texas Corgi Roundup was absolutely pawtastic, and we can’t wait to see the pups back again next year. Save the date for 11/14/2020, you’ll want to be there! Lion’s Park was full of bark this Saturday, with the Roundup exceeding its goal of 800 corgis, with a grand total of 903 fluffy friends registered this year. They jumped, they raced, they gobbled down hot dogs, and they showed off their best costumes in the delightful lignup of events.

This joyful experience was brought together not only by founders Jill and Alex Ramirez, but also with the help of their wonderful volunteers. The day wouldn’t have been the same without enigmatic emcee Allison, along with DJ Ron. The lineup of food trucks was not to be missed, along with all the corgi-centric vendors. The day wrapped up perfectly with the After Pawty at the historic Beltonian Theater, with corgis galore in the theater seats for a screening of The Secret Life of Pets. It’s no secret that the Texas Corgi Roundup is putting itself on the map.

Queen’s Best Stumpy Dog Rescue took the stage to thank the attendees for helping to raise money for corgi rescues, and to share some training tips they consider to be essentials in every household. Many dogs that find their way into a rescue, are there due to issues with aggression. By providing some basic rules and boundaries, the rescue works with the pups to help establish a healthy human-canine relationship. You can check out some of their educational videos at their website, and look for your next furry friend to adopt. Wyoming Dachshund and Corgi Rescue also thanked all the attendees and the organizers of the event for helping to raise funds to help rescue these pups. You can also check out their website if you’re looking to adopt.

Nerd News Social had a great time at the Texas Corgi Roundup, and we know you will too with all these stumpy pups to love.
