Now that October is here, pumpkin patch season begins, and I always have to go to my favorite pumpkin patch around: Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark, CA, now in its 26th year!
We always make a bee-line for the pumpkin house and the pumpkin patch, because it’s the season after all. Take photos with some of our favorite signs like “How Tall This Fall?” and sitting on giant pumpkins as if they’re seats in your living room! Not to mention the giant spiders and the tractor in pumpkin hill! Some of my toddler’s favorite activities are riding the trains, playing on the wooden bus, dancing to the band performing, vanilla soft serve with rainbow sprinkles from Mister Softee, and even just swinging on those old fashioned swings! Family must-dos are attending a pig race and riding the tractor to the fields for the corn maze where we can get lost for hours, and/or picking sunflowers in their beautiful sunflower fields. They are large, tall, and abundant! There’s a lot of festive games like ring toss on a pumpkin stem, and activities like a bounce house, face painting, paint a pumpkin, and make your own scarecrow.
There is so much to do here, and so much space to roam!
