Step Off The Tram With Universal’s Anniversary Of Glamor Trams

This is in celebration of Glamor Trams, which started in 1964, and would take tourists through filming locations, backlot experiences, and five times a day introduced the general public into the adventure of Hollywood moviemaking. This tram is now the basis for the Studio Tour that runs every day, and drops off fans on the backlot every Halloween Horror Nights, our favorite experience of the event.

As we talked about in our prior article, find it Here, Universal Studios Hollywood is celebrating the 60th anniversary of their iconic Studio Tour.

Now we love to share with you one of their most impressive celebration during the anniversary. From April 26, 2024 through August 11, 2024 the park will invite guests to take part in an experiential program which will allow the return of several iconic red and white candy-striped inspired new Glamor Trams, and treat guests to be able to stop off of the tram and onto a movie set and check out an actual fully restored 1964 Glamor Tram!

While there, fans can take photos with a giant King Kong backdrop and the theme park’s original hanging Jaws shark.

The modified Studio Tour will also include the “Earthquake—The Big One” attraction, which will simulate a realistic 8.3 magnitude earthquake, like their prior attraction. Following that, the tour will show off Courthouse Square with an original time machine picture car will be present with a nearby Doc Brown character actor. You can even experience the long forgotten 1976 Runaway Train experience!

Additionally the park will include throwbacks to dishes that they had served over the years, and popcorn buckets and swag dedicated to the Glamor Trams!

If you want to experience all of the new Studio Tours attactions, and options at the park before it’s gone, purchase your tickets to the event Here!
